My Students

Challenging students to use their imaginations, to open their minds, and to find their own unique style is what I do every day. I teach Design, Visual Art Journaling, Ceramics and Advanced Ceramics. The ages of my students range from 14 to 18 years old. Igniting the creative spark in my students is my ultimate mission. Creativity, learning to see...TRULY SEE...to use their imaginations to come up with creative solutions will carry my students far in life. Whether it be English, science, or math - all require creative ways to solve problems. I tell my students, "If you become better artists during my class, that would be great. Ultimately, what I desire most is for you to become more CREATIVE."

My Project

Our budget this year has been cut by 90%. Money spent will be used for the bare essentials: paper, pens, pencils, glue sticks...This coming year has so many unknowns - will we be learning remotely or in class? Provide a way for my students to EXLPORE creating with distressed crayons, inks, punchinella, and plastic canvas! The Visual Art Journal is a powerful way for students to reflect and discover their creative side! Our world is literally going CRAZY! Our students need a place to escape to, a safe place to dream, and to wonder. Providing exciting, enriching materials for my students to create with will help them do just that! THANK YOU!
