My Students

My students come from all different home lives which makes them all unique. As a school, we come together like a family to make the best experiences possible for all. Yes, some students struggle but you can always find them trying hard. I love seeing all the smiling faces in the hall every day. These students work hard each day to learn something new and are proud when they do succeed. "Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world." -Nelson Mandela

My Project

Fractions, integers, distributive property, and inequalities are all hard concepts for 6th graders. These dice will allow my students to have hands on materials to learn each concept. There is nothing like the sound of dice rolling and students being engaged and learning. Imagine having fractions dice and inequalities dice, being able to roll both and manipulating them to decide which fraction is greater than, less than, or equal to the other. Or rolling integer (positive and negative) dice to understand how positive and negative numbers work. These are hands on and visual representations of hard concepts in 6th grade.
