My Students

I am the lucky teacher of 23 amazing, smart, fun, energetic, artistic, creative, and amusing third graders. We live in a small, rural community. Our school has a diverse culture. Included in our boundary is a Native American reservation from which a good part of our student body comes. Our students all qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Even though our cultures and economic situations are varied, our school is a welcoming place of learning, working together, and providing the best for our children.

My Project

To me, my students are heroes! They come to school every day ready to work and try their best. Their home lives aren't always easy and I admire their dedication to their education. Our last class store of the year will be a "Superhero" theme. I want my students to know how amazing I think they are. They will be able to buy superhero bags, punchballs, masks, suckers, candy and more. This will help them continue to solidify their knowledge of financial literacy, while having fun! Hard workers are financial leaders and future superheroes to me. I want them to leave this school year knowing how super they are!
