My Students

Eagle Academy is a public, alternative high school in the West Ada School District. Student enrollment is capped at 165 students to preserve a small school atmosphere and provide students the best opportunity to succeed. To those of us at the academy, Eagle Academy is not just a school but a family. As teachers, we strive to provide our students with opportunities equal to their peers at the traditional schools. As we try to make things as equitable as possible, our students feel increasingly more deserving and worthy. This result is vital to our success!

My Project

When I took over the yearbook class five years ago, I acquired a number of old cameras. Many of the cameras were outdated, had missing parts, or were broken beyond repair. Unfortunately, the cameras that were still in working condition were on their last leg. At this time, the only yearbook cameras my students have to use no longer take quality pictures, making it increasingly more difficult to capture clear images to create a quality yearbook. In order for them to get the pictures vital for our yearbook, we desperately need a better camera. The Nikon - D3500 DSLR Camera would help us immensely in this effort.
