Making Space for Art

In Ms. Corey’s classroom they use the Storyline Method to integrate curriculum and make our science and social studies an art-rich experience. The ability to have student-directed projects and large-scale art pieces going on most of the time creates a truly amazing classroom environment! However, the classroom is small and economically furnished. There just isn’t much extra space for our “works in progress.” Having a drying rack to store artwork would make a huge difference for them. It will leave the students more usable workspace, and they will avoid the accidents that happen when we have to set things on the floor to dry!

A note from Ms. Corey

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your generosity. I am humbled by the support of friends, family, and others who have stepped up to ‘make space for art’ in my classroom. Knowing that so many people also care about the arts makes me so happy, and my students are going to be so excited! Thank you.

With gratitude,
Ms. Corey
