KinderCoders: Promoting Curiosity Through Coding

Welcome to our phenomenal Tuition Kindergarten classroom, where we learn together, work together, and succeed together. We learn together, by exploring the unknown, engaging in digital practices to accelerate and differentiate our knowledge. We work hard, helping each other grow socially, academically, and emotionally. We celebrate individual and group successes every day, showcasing our accomplishments at assemblies, on our website and with families via Seesaw.

Our school’s mission is to prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges. What better way to do that than to get students excited about learning using technology and learning to code at an early age. Coding opportunities encourage students to predict, plan, engineer, execute, and reflect. All of which are essential qualities life-long learners must possess. The Fisher-Price Think and Learn Code-a-pillar provides young minds the opportunities to learn: encouraging students to work together to plan a path, design the code, and implement the design. Challenged to think outside the box, this caterpillar is disguised as a fun, engaging toy, in which students use the coding pieces to plan the caterpillars next move down a student-created path. The possible paths are only limited to their imagination.

A note from Mrs. Wright

Words cannot express our gratitude to you for donating to our coding project! Thank you for encouraging and supporting creativity, ingenuity and collaborative learning.

With Code-a-pillar, students will develop critical thinking, problem solving, reasoning, analysis, interpretation, synthesizing skills, all while having fun!

We look forward to sharing our designs with you! Thank you!

With gratitude,
Mrs. Wright
